Nigeria to face India in Table Tennis team Semi final clash

Aruna Quadri and Omotayo Olajide are one match away from being assured a medal at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham.

The duo continues their good run at the Men’s Table Tennis Single event when they smashed Team Malaysia in quarter final game played this Sunday.

Quadri came from behind to seal the semi finals spot as he smashed Javen Choong in the last team game by 7-11, 11-8, 11-5, 11-9.

In another team event, Omotayo kept Nigeria in the game at the fourth set after beating Leong Chee Feng 3-1 ,11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 11-4.

Nigeria will now square up against India in the semi finals of Men’s Table Tennis team event, looking to earn a spot in the final.

The match is the 2nd semi-final, and it will be played, Monday.
