Nigeria Unveils Star-Studded Team for 2025 World Relays in Guangzhou

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has officially unveiled the nation’s contingent for the 2025 World Relays set to take place in Guangzhou, China.

With automatic qualification for the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo at stake, Nigeria is going all out, fielding elite sprinters in four of the six relay events.

The team, brimming with raw talent, Olympic pedigree, and continental champions, is expected to challenge the world’s best as they seek to cement Nigeria’s dominance on the track.

Below is the full list of athletes selected to represent the country in their respective events:

With household names like Tobi Amusan, the reigning World and Commonwealth hurdles champion, and Favour Ofili, one of the fastest women over 200m, expectations are sky-high.

The men’s squad also features a formidable lineup led by Udodi Onwuzurike and Favour Ashe, both seasoned on the global stage.

Team Nigeria will look to sprint, power, and baton-pass its way to international glory once again and bring home victory and medals from Guangzhou.
