Nigeria wins Gold in Women’s relay Event at the AAC

Nigeria’s quartet of Praise Idamadudu, Tima Godbless, Praise Ofoku and Tobi Amusan have been crowned African Women’s 4x100m Champions.

The quartet won gold in the 4x100m Women’s event at the African Senior Athletics Championship in Mauritius on Friday.

While Team Nigeria was the slowest qualifier in the heats on Thursday, and only barely made it through to the final, the Ladies turned up in style Today.

Stunning the entire crowd, Nigeria clinched gold after crossing the line in a time of 44.45s.

Meanwhile, Team Nigeria in the Men’s version of the same event, missed out on the podium after finishing fourth in the final.

The team comprising Raymond Ekevwo, Nicholas Mabilo, Ogho-Oghene Egwero and Seye Ogunlewe ran a Season’s Best of 39.98s in a race won by Team Kenya.
