The Yellow Greens had the task of getting revenge for their loss at last year’s final and preventing a recurrence of their failure on match-day five when they faced the reigning champions for the second time in two days.
Nigerian captain Blessing Etim chose to bat first after winning the toss, and she inspired the team’s charge to the title.
Etim expressed excitement at winning the tournament, though she had hoped the team would do so in a clean sweep.
According to the captain, the team learnt from their loss to win in the final.
