Nigeria won three gold medals in the men’s Free style at the just concluded African Wrestling Championship in Marrakech, Morocco on Sunday.

The wrestlers had hoped to replicate what their female counterparts achieved on Saturday in the championship, and the Nigerian contingent did not disappoint.

Welson Ebikweminomo defeated Algeria‘s Kherbache Abdelhak to pick gold in the 57.0kg.

The other winners are John Ogbonna Emmanuel and Tamaru Soso, who edged out Tunisia‘s Ghanmi Maher and South Africa‘s Erasmus Martin in the 70.kg and 97.0kg respectively in final on Sunday.
