NNL return post Covid-19 uncertain without Sponsorship – Sule

Chairman of Nigeria National League club owners Abdul Sule has stated that the return of football in the second-tier league in Nigeria remains uncertain if there is no sponsorship even after the Covid-19 situation clearly because of the situation in the NNL has been on even before the emergence of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Kogi united FC Chairman speaking in a chat with brila.net said the clear way forward is to have a proper board and leadership constituted for the NNL and charged with the responsibility of getting league sponsorship so that the NNL return can be certain and be part of the returning league whenever sports is allowed to return in Nigeria.
“The most reasonable and realistic way forward is to get a very strong board that can find and get sponsors for the league. It’s very important that we have a sponsor, without sponsor honestly I think the league will remain like this and nothing will change.”
