No Goals for Ighalo and Ideye and Their teams Lost

Odion Ighalo and Brown Ideye fired blank in the Chinese Super League matches played on Saturday as their respective clubs dropped points and lost further grounds in the season’s race.

Both Ighalo and Ideye started and played the whole duration, leading the attacks for Changchun Yatai and Tianjin Teda respectively.

For the former Watford FC striker, Yatai may be soon be sucked into the relegation battle as they hover just a point above the bottom two.

They lost 2-1 to Hebei, with goals from former PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zhang Chengdong.

Tianjin Teda appear only slightly better, without recuperating Mikel Obi.

The club dropped to 11th spot after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Tianjin Quanjian.

Former AC Milan and Chelsea man, Alexander Pato wrapped up the victory with a 64th minute goal after a double from Zheng Dalun.
