3SC coach Edith Agoye says the NPFL is now competitive and lauds his players for grinding out positive results on Monday.
Agoye guided Shooting Stars to their first league victory on Monday, since gaining promotion back to the elite division.
The Oluyole Warriors defeated Katsina United 1-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, courtesy of goal scored by Wasiu Alalade.
The victory brought an end to Shooting Stars’ run of three games without a win and lifted them to 12th position on the league standing.
Speaking on how the game, Agoye said, he’s happy they got their needed win, but admits Katsina United made life difficult for his boys.
“If you look at the results from recent matches, you will agree with that there is no home advantage in the NPFL anymore.”
“Teams are now picking points anywhere. Katsina United would have gotten an equalizer if not for our goalkeeper. Teams have to work hard now to win at home. ” He said to reporters after the game.
