Galatasaray president, Dursun Ozbek has addressed growing speculation surrounding a potential permanent move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
After his failed deadline day, permanent transfer from Napoli, Osimhen made a surprise switch to Galatasaray for the remainder of the 2024–25 season.

Despite playing in a new environment, Osimhen has quickly become a fan favourite and a key figure in Galatasaray’s title charge.
So far, the forward has netted 33 goals and provided 8 assists in all competitions, setting a new personal record for total goal contributions in a single season.
And it has sparked talks of a permanent transfer from Napoli for the €75 million-rated Striker.
Speaking at an event, club president Ozbek was asked directly about Osimhen’s future.
“Eighty-five million people in Türkiye come to me with the same question,” he joked. “We are in a race right now; the football season isn’t over. Transfers begin in June.”
Ozbek emphasized that the club’s focus remains firmly on the field, not on transfer dealings.
“Nobody should think about who we will buy or sell right now. We have five important matches left. Our priority is to win them all and make our fans happy.”
Galatasaray currently top the Turkish Super Lig with 83 points, holding an eight-point lead over Fenerbahce, and are set to compete in the Turkish Cup final.
