Enyimba are through to the group phase of the CAF Confederation Cup after beating local rivals Rivers United 5-4 on penalties.
The People’s Elephant won the first leg 1-0 in Aba, however they succumbed to their hosts by the same scoreline in the second-leg in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
Fortune Omoniwari fired past John Noble to level the aggregate scoreline.
After both sides failed to find the winner, the game was settled in from the penalty spot Enyimba came out on top.
Enyimba Goalkeeper, Noble, was the hero as he saved two kicks from Kunle Odunlami and substitute Israel Emmanuel, before scoring the winner himself.
The visitors won 5-4 on penalties after 12 attempts by both sides.
Draw for the group stage will be held Monday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
