Kano Pillars goalkeeper Suraj Aiyeleso has stated that the inclusion of Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble to the National team list of invited players for the final set of Africa cup of nations qualifiers against Benin republic and Lesotho gives hope to other shot-stoppers in the Nigerian league.
Aiyeleso speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that he was very impressed with the invitation of another shot-stopper in the league which shows that the Nigerian league goalkeepers are now been monitored unlike before where the National team handler stuck with just one shot-stopper from the domestic league in Nigeria.
“I was impressed because when you see an in-form player that is doing well you’re supposed to encourage the person so that he will put in more effort.
“This John Noble call I think it’s a good call by the National team handler. You could remember during my bright season in the league, I was in the camp although I couldn’t make it to the proper competition. With this John Noble call, it gives one hope that we can still make it to the national team not that they will stick with only one person.”
