Nottingham Forest’s Head Coach Steve Cooper is confident Taiwo Awoniyi will fulfill his potential with the Club.

The Premier League new boys broke their own transfer record to capture the Nigerian striker from Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin.

Speaking on the arrival of the Forward, Cooper stated that, his side beat off competition from other Premier League sides to his signature.

“There’s been a lot of interest in Taiwo from other Premier League clubs, and other clubs across Europe, so we’re delighted that he’s chosen Nottingham Forest,” the Manager said.

“Our recruitment and coaching teams have been monitoring his progress closely over the last few months.”

“He’s a player who we really believe in and we look forward to him going on to fulfill his potential and become a top Premier League striker with Nottingham Forest.”

The 24-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Forest.
