Kwara United remain top of the NPFL after forcing Wikki Tourist to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
The Harmony Boys went into the game on the back of the victory over Warri Wolves while Wikki Tourists were aiming to bounce back after the defeat to Abia Warriors.
After the early exchanges, Wikki Tourist were awarded a spot kick after Promise Damala was tripped in the box.
Forward Chinedu Udeagha converted the spot to give Usman Abdallah’s side the lead and the home side went into the break with the lead.
But, Kwara United came into the second half with more intent and were the better side all through.
The best chance of the half fell to Michael Ohanu, but his shot was parried by the Wikki Tourist goalkeeper, and the rebound hit wide by Kalu Nweke.
Kwara United, however, got their reward in the 80th minute when Substitute Ajibola Adeleke scored the equaliser inside the final 10 minutes.
The draw means that the Afonja Warriors remain on top of the table with 26 points from 14 matches.
