Goalkeeper John Noble believes the Nigeria Professional Football League players must prove their worth to earn a chance in the Super Eagles main team.
Former Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr was accused of shutting the door against the players from the domestic league and the next gaffer would be mandated to look inwards to unearth potential national team players in the fold of the home-based players.
Speaking to brila.net, John Noble who plies his trade with Enyimba of Aba, said, with new coaching crew coming in, the domestic league players must prove their worth and earn national call-ups.
“It’s not easy for them as well, it’s left for us to also prove ourselves to the coaches who are coming in.”
“If we do that, then there is no way they won’t pick four or five to be in the squad, because they might have seen what we can do.”
“So I think, it’s important we prove ourselves too, when we do that, then it is better.” He told brila.net
Noble has earned his call-up to the Super Eagles multiple times, but he hasn’t been able to make his debut for the three time African Champions.
