NPFL: Rangers Strengthen Title Chances

Enugu Rangers extended their lead in the NPFL to two points with a 2-0 triumph over Plateau United.

Rangers took the lead inside twenty-six minutes, courtesy of a goal from Okorie Chiedozie.

Despite a resilient display from Plateau United, the Seven-time League champions maintained their lead until halftime.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side sealed the win following Godwin Obaje’s penalty kick in the third minute of added time, as the Flying Antelopes completed a League double over Plateau United.

Despite the loss, Plateau United can take pride in their home record this season, boasting the highest number of goals scored at home with 32, just two more than Rangers.

However, with the win Rangers now tally 57 points from 32 games, firmly establishing themselves as frontrunners in the NPFL title race.
