Fresh from winning the NPFL title and the League’s Golden Shoe, Rivers United Forward Chijioke Akuneto has sent a word to Super Eagles head Coach for a chance in the NT.
Akuneto stated that he can’t wait to get an national team invitation after a very productive campaign, where the striker scored 19 goals to emerge as the league’s top scorer.
Speaking in a chat with Brila.net, the 24 year-old said playing for the national team is the desire of every player and one he also has.
He added that the opportunity to represent Nigeria, “Will surely boost my profile as a player.”
