President of the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation Kelechukwu Mbagwu has fingered Nigeria’s Sports ministry and it leadership for been non-chalant following the Dissolution of Sports Federations which is on the verge of setting back the game of Rugby and successes recorded.
Mbagwu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net ahead of what is expected to be an imminent ban on Nigeria from World Rugby after Rugby Afrique had suspended Nigeria for Government interference arising from the dissolution of the Sports Federations said it’s been a tough and inconsiderate action from Nigeria’s Sports Ministry.
“What can we do, our Sports ministry actually do not care and don’t care whether Nigeria is suspended, they don’t care whether Nigeria is banned and I think they have their own very definite idea of what progress means. World Rugby has even sent a corroboratory letter although my Vice President who is the chairman of the caretaker committee is expected to come up with something and nothing so far because the Sports ministry is difficult to work with.”
