Coach John Obuh has quelled talk of the failure of Nigerian Football to transition-age grade, national teams, from one level of national team development to another.
Obuh speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the talk about transition is been over-exaggerated in Nigeria and posited thereafter that transition with highly successful Football countries of the world happen in movements of a handful to the next stage of development until they get to the very top and hence should focus on the progression of exceptional talents irrespective of the success or failure of a team at the age-grade level.
“I don’t think the transition is as bad as it is been presented because I know quite well that even in England or in Spain it’s still a handful of their players from the youth team that makes it to the final of their senior team.”
