Rivers Hoopers Basketball club and Assistant national team coach D’Tigers Odaudu Ogoh has given a mixed rating to basketball in Nigeria for the year 2020 which he sees as zero club activities and little national team success with the D’Tigers bright start to the 2021 Afrobasket qualifiers.
Odaudu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the year had started with a lot to look forward to especially at the club level with the Basketball Africa League which eventually got impeded by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Clubsidewise 2020 has been a slow year, it was basically nothing for us as a team, the only light for us was hat we were getting ready for the BAL which didn’t happen, for the national team we had the new coach and went for the Afrobasket qualifiers and beat all the people in our group.”
