Odion Ighalo returned to Al Hilal’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup tie against Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.
Ighalo had missed Al Hilal’s last two games due to injury, but returned in time to start the game at the Stade Moulay Abdellah on Saturday.
The Nigerian fired blank and was substituted with eight minutes remaining in the regulation time.
The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes, but Al Hilal held their nerves to win 5-3 on penalties.
The Asian Champions who finished third last year advanced to the last four in the process.
