Coach of Nigeria’s U19 Cricket national team at the ongoing International Cricket Council U19 world cup in South Africa Uthe Ogbimi has declared Nigeria’s readiness to face the onslaught of playing at a Cricket world cup for the first time ahead of today’s clash with strong serial Cricket world cup contender Australia.
Ogbimi speaking in a chat with brila.net said the occasion hasn’t been bigger for Nigeria than this in Cricket and back his ward to prove themselves and showcase the Nigerian brand of Cricket to the rest of the world.
“The guys are ready to go out there and give all they’ve got and it’s fantastic time for Nigerian Cricket to have qualified for the world cup for the first time after 100 years.
“Everybody is excited about it, we want to make the very best use of it to showcase Nigerian brand of Cricket in the world stage.
“I can tell you that with what we have seen the warm up games and some of the games that have been played in the world cup proper, there is everything to play for.”
