Nigeria players express happiness over receiving call ups ahead of Qualifiers.

Following the released list of players called up by the national team coach, Gernot Rohr ahead of the Corsica camp in France aimed at preparing the Eagles for the upcoming AFCON qualifier against South Africa, several players have expressed joy at the prospect of playing for the country and the importance of the task ahead.
Feirense of Portugal and Super Eagles midfielder, Etebo Oghenekaro has submitted that he remains happy to be called up, while he remains grateful to God, while also highlighting the importance of the task ahead as preparation begins from this moment.
New Super Eagles invitee, Mikel Ndubusi Agu who is currently playing for Portuguese club Vitória F.C. on loan from FC Porto also expressed his joy after making the cut for the planned camping programme in France and the international friendly match against the Corsica Senior National Team later this month. According to Agu, it is a good opportunity and hopefully he will make the most of it.

In a related development, Leicester City of England and Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has expressed his happiness at also getting a call up, while also admitting that the expectations are much, but he hopes he and other members of the Eagles will live up to expectations.

Austria vienna and Super Eagles striker Kayode Olanrewaju was also in the mix as he stated that he is delighted to be earning a back to back call to the Super Eagles after been included in the 25 man list by coach Gernot Rohr for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers camping in France. Kayode in a chat with Brila downplayed been under any form of pressure to perform and said all he targets is to be useful in Nigeria’s quest to scale the qualifying hurdle starting from the first game against South Africa.
