Ogu delighted to train with the Super Eagles

John Ogu says he’s honored for the opportunity to train with the Super Eagles again after almost three years.

The midfielder has been out of the National team for close to two-and-half years, no thanks to his inability to find another club, after leaving Saudi Arabia side Al-Adalah Football Club.

However, the former Hapoel Be’er Sheva joined the Super Eagles in training session on Friday in order to remain in good shape ahead of the January transfer window.

“A great pleasure to meet the boys once again. Heads up and we go again on Sunday .” He said.

“Thanks to the Manager and his coaching staffs for the opportunity to train with the team today. All the best to the team.”

Ogu earned 27 caps for Nigeria and was part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup squad in Russia. He also helped the team finish third at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
