Ogu keen on potential January return to football

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu said he is working hard to secure a new deal, so he can return to football as soon as possible.

Ogu has been without a club since leaving Saudi Arabia outfit Al-Adalah FC six months ago following the expiration of his contract.

 

However, the former Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder said he’s not done with the round leather game and he’s close to securing a deal in current transfer window.

 

“I’m as hungry as ever to succeed in this life and career God has choose for me. Market is opened, I’m working so hard to get back on the pitch. When all is done, I shall update you all,” He posted in a statement via social media.

 

Ogu last featured for the Super Eagles at 2019 African cup of Nations in Egypt where he helped the Gernot Rohr’s side finished third.

 

He was was part of Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad to the 2013 FIFA Confederation Cup and also 2018 World Cup to Russia.
