Ogunbodede expects tough match against AS FAR in Ikenne

Remo Stars gaffer Daniel Ogunbodede is delighted with Remo Stars’ 1-1 draw with AS FAR of Morocco but insists the tie is far from over.

Ogunbodede led the Sky Blues to a commendable 1-1 in the first leg preliminary round of the CAF Confederations tie in Morocco last Sunday.

The Nigerian Professional Football League Side will now host the Moroccans at the Ikenne Stadium for the deciding leg this weekend.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ogunbodede said picking a draw on the road was not easy, adding that he’s expecting a tougher match from North Africans come Sunday.

“First timer on the continent, including me, the coach, and against a tough with good footballing culture, and we lucky to come out with a draw.”

“I told the boys at the half time concede anymore and take our chances when they come.”

“We want to qualify, that’s the major plan, We are expecting a fight from them, but we want to play a good match and qualify.” He said.

The overall winners from the tie will advance to the next phase of the competition.
