There are reports that Rangers Head Coach, Gbenga Ogunbote held a clear-the-air talk with his players after Sunday’s defeat to Etoile du Sahel in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup group B at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.
Rangers were stunned 2-0 in their back yard by the 2015 champions, who completed a double over the NPFL side following the first-leg 2-1 win in Sousse.
Ogunbote was queried on whether his team was experiencing a defensive crisis after shipping in four goals in just two games when they’d conceded the same number in eight games in the competition this season.
However, the Head Coach told brila.net that “What I told the boys is an inside talk. The game, unfortunately, has been played and lost. What we need to do is see the game as a challenge.
“If a team can come home and defeat us, that means we can go out there and get results to, if we do that we can come back to reckoning.”
Sunday’s defeat left the club third in the group and at risk of getting dumped out in the group stage with two games; including a tricky road game against Salitas.
