Head coach Gbenga Ogunbote says he is confident Remo Stars will be ready for the 2021-2022 Nigeria Professional Football League Season but not getting carried away by pre season form.
Ogunbote who was hired to help the club retain their top flight status has been working closely with the players in pre season.
The Sky Blues competed in the Dapo Abiodun Pre season in Ogun State and they will take on Shooting Stars in the Ogunjobi Gold Cup final on Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium.
Asked about the good form of the team the pre season, Ogunbote said he’s not getting carried away.
“I am looking at the strength of my team, so we played against an NPFL side and you can see the quality they gave to Remo Stars. It’s a good one for my players and it’s going to boost their confidence level as we go into the new domestic league season.
“We are not going to be carried away by the victories we have recorded in the Ogunjobi Gold Cup, the loop holes we noticed in the course of our matches, I want to assure that we will also proffer solutions to them.” He told the Ogunjobi Gold cup media.
