Sunshine Stars coach Gbenga Ogunbote has praised Sadeeq Yusuf and his entire team after the nervy win over Warri Wolves on Sunday.
Yusuf scored a late goal as Sunshine Stars laboured to a 1 – 0 win over stubborn Warri Wolves at the Ondo State Sports Complex.
Yusuf headed home an inch-perfect cross from Ayo Akinlose to help the Owena Waves return to winning ways after two consecutive disappointing results.
In his post match presser, Ogunbote said his team is struggling with fatigue, but he’s happy they dug deep to win the game.
He also singled out Sodeeq Yusuf for praise after the Striker’s match winner.
“Victory at last; it was a hard earned one and it would have been a big set back if we didn’t get the three points. I salute the resilience, the courage and determination of my boys.
“I knew we were go to have a little challenge as regards fatigue. We are making best use of the situation we have found ourselves. Sadeeq? We pray he continues with his goal exploit,” Ogunbote said.
