Gbenga Ogunbote has hailed his players’ never say die attitude following their victory over Pillars in the Aiteo Cup Final on Wednesday.
Ogunbote saw his team overturn a 3-0 deficit and force a shoot out which they eventually won 4-2 for end a 35-year FA Cup drought.
The team were tagged the ‘comeback Kings’ in the competition after as they played from losing positions to pick wins through from the quarter-final stages.
Although he was impressed with the resilience of his players, the Coach told Brila.net he was not so happy with the defending against Pillars.
With a sixth FA Cup and a Confederation Cup ticket for next season, Ogunbote who just won his first major silverware as a Coach insists Rangers are far from the finished article.
