Ogunbote Targets Massive transfer Activity to End Sunshine Stars Woes

Sunshine Stars Boss, Gbenga Ogunbote has hinted that more players will be needed if they are to turn their current predicament in the NPFL around.

Samson Obi’s second half goal for Enyimba FC condemned Sunshine Stars FC to another defeat in a matchday 17 NPFL game at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.

The defeat extended the Owena Whales poor run of form in the league to ten matches without a victory.

In his reaction to the result, Ogunbote pointed out that inexperience is costing his team dearly and called on the management to recruit more players to help lift the team.

“In the first 45 minutes we threw away all the chances, the goal was just about the glaring chance Enyimba had and it was as a result of a silly error. Sometimes you lost a game like this to inexperience.”

“The team must be beefed up, it is mandatory. My players are not a bad, but we still need a few quality players to join them. We should be ready to play anywhere and I just hope the level playing ground here should be obtainable everywhere,” He told reporters in Agege.

Following the defeat, Sunshine Stars remain just a point above the relegation zone with 18 points from 17 games.
