Nigerian striker David Okereke has began another adventure with Italian side Cremonese after ending his relationship with Club Brugge.
Okereke was surplus to requirement at the Belgian club, despite his impressive performance for Venezia in the Italian Serie A last season.
The striker spent last season on loan at Venezia, where he made 32 appearances and scored seven goals and created other four.
In a statement released by Cremonese, the Nigerian forward signed his contract on Thursday and he’s expected to help the club retain their league status.
Okereke is not new to Italian football, having played first for Lavagnese and then for Spezia.
He made his debut in Serie B in 2016 and reached 59 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
He departed Italy for Belgium in 2019 and played 71 times for Club Brugge (11 in the Champions League alone) and scored 15 goals, winning two league title.
