Super Falcons and Eskilstuna of Sweden midfielder Ngozi Okobi has stated that no nation should dare look down on Nigeria’s women national team ahead of the team’s final world cup camping as they get set to put finishing touches on preparation for the 2019 FIFA women’s world cup this summer in France.
Okobi speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Super Falcons have been well prepared already and that she is confident already at this point of Nigeria’s capacity to do well at the world cup and stressed that even coach Thomas Dennerby would have a tough time picking the final list of 23 players out of the 27 players invited for the team’s final camping in Austria.
“Nobody should look down on Nigeria because people will want to look us like Nigeria again has nothing to offer. But this time around it’s going to be a different Super Falcons, we have actually had good preparation and thanks to the NFF for that opportunity and I believe so much in the team, I believe in every player that has been called up and I think it’s going to be tough for coach Thomas Dennerby to decide who will stay and who will leave.”
Nigeria’s Super Falcons have had it so good in preparation with the tour of China, Cyprus, Spain and now Austria where the team will finish it all before flying out to the world cup in France.
