Okoye expects another tough task against Tunisia

Maduka Okoye is confident the Super Eagles will be ready to face Tunisia on Tuesday after suffering  narrow defeat to Algeria on Friday.

 

The Super Eagles were far from their best on Friday as Bensebaini Rami best Okoye from close range in the 6th minute to hand the Algerian champions the win.

 

Okoye was in goal for the entire duration of game and it was only his second appearance for Nigeria since making his debut against Brazil last year.

 

Although he couldn’t keep out Bensebaini Rami’s strike, Okoye made three descent saves in the game to make the score line respectable.

 

Okoye who is disappointed with the outcome of the said said the team should focus on Tuesday’s match against Tunisia.

 

“It was not the result we wanted last night but we showed great fighting spirit in a tough game!” Okoye wrote on his Twitter.

 

“Now fully focused on the next tough match on Tuesday.” he said.

 

The Super Eagles will be hoping to redeem their image against  the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Tuesday.
