Ola Aina makes case for more game time

Ola Aina got his first start for Torino since January in the side’s 1-1 draw against SS Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Aina was handed game time for only the second time by Manager Ivan Juric since the Player’s return from Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Chelsea defender almost marked the start with an assist when he played a good cross onto the path of Andrea Belotti, only for the Striker to blast his effort wide.

The Granata continued to create the best opportunities, Aina hitting a another low cross to unmarked Vojvoda, but the latter scuffed it wide again.

However, Pietro Pellegri’s first Serie A goal in five years finally put Torino in front.

They defended their lead for most part of the game, but Ciro Immobile escaped Gleison Bremer to give Lazio a stoppage-time equaliser from Milinkovic-Savic’s cross.

Aina was on the pitch until the 74th minutes before he was substituted for Wilfried Stephane Singo.
