Olayinka’s strike denies Ahmed Musa a perfect Sivasspor debut

Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa debuted for Sivasspor on Thursday in the Europa Conference League.

Musa was a second-half substitute for Sivasspor in their Europa League match against Slavia Prague at the Yeni Sivas Elyul Stadi.

Musa, who signed for Sivasspor on summer transfer deadline day as a free, was named in the match day squad for the first time.

He was finally handed his debut against Slavia, and he replaced Cameroonian forward Clinton N’Jie with 17 minutes left to play.

Musa’s introduction didn’t change anything for Sivasspor as they were held 1-1 by Slavia Prague, who themselves paraded two Nigerians, Peter Olayinka and Yira Sor.

Olayinka put the visitors ahead inside the opening four minutes, but, Israeli midfielder Dia Daba leveled the game for the hosts.
