Flamingoes coach Bankole Olowookere has stated that he is ready to get back to work with the women national U17 team after been out of action for about six months while the Covid-19 lockdown on sports subsist.
Olowookere speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the nod given to have sports return is a welcome development and can’t wait to return to national team duty.
He stressed that everyone is ready in their mind to get back to work and already have a plan on ground which only needs to be implemented when they return.
“It’s a welcome development, thank God that we are alive to witness the comeback of football. Many lives have been lost in the process of the Covid-19 lockdown so we just thank God, it’s just a gradual something. So look at how the league started in Europe and now our own too is just to take a cue from that, so we are just taking it gradually. Our mind is ready, every hardworking person must set his mind so the plan is on ground, we just have to implement all these plans that we have.”
