Omatsone Aluko took a rain check on a continued stay in England for a taste of football made in China, and the 30 year-old forward is making a meal of it.
On Saturday, Aluko made his 10th league appearance for Beijing Renhe and improved his goal per match ratio in the last three seasons.
Last season, he played 19 times in the league for Reading, but could only manage a single goal.
Two goals in 39 appearances was his previous best at the EFL Championship side before his move in the January transfer window of 2019.
So far, Aluko has scored three goals; a ratio of a goal in three games, but his latest coming against Guangzhou R&F ended in defeat for his side.
Beijing Renhe are currently bottom of the table in the CSL, picking only five points in 10 matches.
