Omo-Agege highlights the highs and lows of Nigerian Boxing in 2020

Board member of the Nigeria Boxing Federation Azania Omo-Agege has highlighted the highs and lows of Boxing in Nigeria in 2020 and has described it as a very good year but for the limiting effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Omo-Agege speaking in a chat with brila.net said the establishment of the boxing series in the year and the continuation of the champion of champions boxing events towards the end of the year coupled with a lot of meetings by the board on ways to chart a better 2021 as an achievement of the Federation in the year 2020 under review.
“We did extremely well with the little finances that we had our way, obviously it was supposed to be an Olympic year but unfortunately it didn’t work out that way.
“We were restricted by the Covid-19 issues, we had our Sports festival that didn’t hold and in the last two months we have heard slot of meetings where we chart a way forward and we also achieve the establishment of the Boxing series in the year.”
