NPFL champions, Plateau United has been knocked out of the CAF Champions League despite a lone goal victory of Etoile Du Sahel in Kano this afternoon.

Tosin Omoyele gave the Kennedy Boboye led side the lead in the first half, but Plateau United was unable to add up to the tally in the second 45 minutes.

A goal victory over the Tunisian giants was not enough, having gone down 4-2 away in Tunis.

Plateau United became the second Nigerian flag bearer in the CAF competition to crash out following MFM fc’s disappointing 6-0 loss away to MC Alger in Algeria yesterday.

Nigerians will now shift focus to the CAF confederation Cup.
