Onazi aims dig at Eagles boss Rohr after AFCON qualifier snub

Super Eagles midfielder Eddy Onazi has aimed an obvious dig at his Coach Gernot Rohr after his exclusion from the Squad for next month’s AFCON qualifier against South Africa.

Onazi who was on a superb form in his team’s 1-1 draw against Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday said he will show his quality and talents to those who didn’t give him the chance to play in the World Cup.

In the Super Lig encounter vs Antalyaspor, the 25-year-old player completed 72 and ended the game with a passing accuracy of 82.6 percent.

It is obvious that the Super Eagles erstwhile vice-Captain still harbors some hard feelings toward the German tactician after failing to get a minute of action in Russia.

”I’ll show my quality and talents to those who didn’t give me the chance to play in the World Cup,’ Onazi was quoted as saying in a publication by a Turkish News outfit, Haberts.

Onazi has since been a regular in the Super Eagles squad in the last three clashes with Seychelles, and the doubleheader against Libya. He, however, pulled out of the Libya clashes due to an injury sustained in camp.
