Super Eagles duo of Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu will be playing in the lower league next season after Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League.
The Saints were officially relegated from the topflight after losing 2-0 at home to Fulham FC.
Onuachu started the match and lasted for 62 minute. He had just two shots on goal to show for his efforts before being substituted.
He’s now played 11 league matches for the club without scoring a goal since his January move from KRC Genk.
Aribo expectedly didn’t get taste of action as he sat among the unused substitutes.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, sealed Saints’ fate with a stooping header after Carlos Vinicius’ opener.
The defeat brought an end to Southampton’s 11-year stay in the Premier League.
