Even by his own high standards, 21 goals so far this season hasn’t been shabby at all for Forward Paul Onuachu and the KRC Genk hitman is aiming for bigger rewards come the end of the current campaign.
Onuachu had a slow to start to the season following his failed move away from Genk in the summer.
The 27 year-old also endured a goal drought recently and had also lost his starter’s spot even in the clash dropped against Gent.
But with a goal on his return to the starting line up against Sporting Charleroi last Wednesday, the striker scored a goal to help the club achieve a 3-2 win.
Speaking on his overall performance this season, the lanky forward gave himself a thumbs up.
“I feel good, to score again and now I have 21 goals. Not bad, right? The goal is still to play European football and if we win against Gent on Sunday, I think we will fight for a European ticket too,” he concluded.
