Onuachu disappointed with Genk’s collapse at Royal Antwerp

Paul Onuachu is disappointed his side couldn’t end the season on high, despite putting themselves in a perfect position.

Onuachu’s brace put Genk in driving seat for all three points in their last Belgian Pro League game away to Royal Antwerp on Saturday.

However, a late comeback saw the hosts scored three goals, including two in the added time to pick all three points.

Despite the disappointment of missing out on the champions league next season, Onuachu finished the season on 29 goals.

“I played for the team and tried to use my qualities for them.

“By getting two goals that worked well. Unfortunately, it was not enough for a win and second place (for Genk).” he told Belgian journalist Het Belang Van Limburg.

Genk ended the season fourth behind Club Brugge, Royal Antwerp, and Anderlecht.
