Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Paul Ebere Onuachu scored his second goal of the season for his club KRC Genk in a 2-1 win over KV Kortrijk in the Belgium Pro League.
The goal is Onuachu’s first in the domestic league after firing blank in the season opener before was dropped for the second game.
Onuachu led the attack for the John van den Brom tutored side and he was supported by the duo of Junya Ito and Theo Bongonda.
Junya Ito was later substituted in the second and it was his replacement Mike Tresor who set up Onuachu’s goal in the 51st minute to cancel out Teddy Chevalier’s18th minutes strike for the hosts.
The 27-year-old Nigerian striker was also on target in Genk’s 2-1 UEFA Champions League home defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk last Tuesday.
Mike Tresor scored the winning goal in the 90th minute to end the match 2-1.
The victory over moved KRC Genk to the 9th spot of the Belgium Pro League table with 4 points from 3 matches played.
