Onuachu top of the Pack in Belgium as Jupiler League go on World Cup break

KRC Genk and Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu increased his tally for the season to thirteen, after scoring against Anderlecht on Sunday.

Onuachu has enjoyed fine run of form in front of goal in recent weeks, including scoring the winner in a cup game against Westerloo in mid-week.

The striker proved his worth once again on Sunday, with another vital strike as Genk ran away 2-0 winner away win at Anderlecht.

Paul Onuachu got his goal following a delightful assist from Daniel Munoz.

It was his 13th league goal of the Belgian Pro league this season, despite missing the opening three weeks of the season with injury.

The forward is the leading scorer, but closely followed by Leuven’s Spanish striker Mario Gonzalez who has 11 goal.

He was substituted for Ally Samantha in the 89th, and the traveling fans gave him a standing ovation.

Meanwhile, Gerardo Arteaga scored the second goal in the 53rd minute, only to be sent off few minutes later.

The Jupiler League will go on break for the commencement of the FIFA World Cup, with KRC Genk top of the table on 46 points; 10 more than the second-place Union SG.
