Brentford Manager Thomas Frank has has highlighted the importance of Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka to his team.
Frank says the Nigeria midfielder is an excellent addition to his squad and he’s confident the Nigerian international will be a key player for his side this season.
He told Bold: “I do not want to say that Frank has surprised us in any way, because there was a reason why we bought him. But he has done well and has fallen well into the team.
“He has some obvious qualities in relation to the fact that he covers huge areas, and then he is a really good press player and ball winner. He is sharp in his choices and on the ball, both in terms of passes and keeping the ball going so that there is flow in the game at all times.
“He is an important player for us, and he knows some of the defensive things that we need in matches where we come under greater pressure” he said.
Onyeka joined Brentford from Danish side Midtjylland in just concluded European transfer window.
The 23-year-old made his debut in the 2-0 victory over Arsenal and also featured in the impressive goalless draw against Crystal Palace.
