Henry Onyekuru has expressed delight with his return to Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray.

Onyekuru was unveiled on Monday after the club reached agreement with the player and AS Monaco for his services.

Speaking to the club’s media after his unveiling, the former Everton player stated that he had been wanting to wear the club’s colours again and that he was looking to achieve great things with them this season.

“First of all, I am very happy to be here again. I want to spend a season where we can achieve the club’s goals, have plenty of goals and make everyone proud. I hope to stay here longer.

“I spoke with our president, vice president and coach, and they expressed their trust in me. I am ready to give 100 percent as always. As I said before, my goal is to achieve more success with the club, win more trophies and make our fans proud. God willing, we will win both the league and Cup in Turkey,” he said.

Onyekuru will link up with compatriots Oghenekaro Etebo, Jesse Sekidika and Valentine Ozornwafor at the club.

His first stint at the club was in the 2018–2019, where he netted 14 times in 31 matches and won domestic double.

He returned to the Telkom arena on loan from Monaco last season, but he only managed to score one goal in 10 appearances.
