Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru has revealed that he remains excited to be back in the Eagles fold again after a successful season with adopted Turkish club side Galatasaray of Turkey.
The on-loan Everyone forward was instrumental in Galatasary’s success this season, scoring 18 goals in all competitions to help the club to a domestic double, and is looking to replicate that form with the Eagles at the AFCON, after missing the world cup last year in Russia due to injury.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Onyekuru also added that the spirit in the team camp is very high, while hoping they emerge victorious against Senegal.
“What happened was that the injury, everything, it just happened, but at the moment I will say that am happy to be with the team again, the staff and everyone”.
“At the moment, the team spirit is very high and we hope to come out victorious in the game”.
“We all have each other’s backs and it’s like a family, the togetherness is great. We all train hard everyday with the same mentality and mindset and that is to come out victorious”.
