General Manager of crisis-ridden Nigeria Professional Football League side Heartland FC Godson Onyemaobi has stated that the widespread reports of crisis at the Owerri based club are nothing but mere speculations.
Onyemaobi speaking in a chat with brila.net said the current situation of things at the club is not as bad as been peddled by many.
He also stressed that the coach of the team Fidelis Ilechukwu is still very much with the team on contract after signing a three-year contract when he joined the club last year and hasn’t at any point notified or written to the management indicating desire to leave.
“Our Governor is well informed, when people talk they don’t even know the plan of the Government, they just speculate they just write what they like. So there is no cause for alarm. He is on three years contract with us and he has never for once called or informed us that maybe he wants to live or something, all those things are speculations. If he really wants to leave definitely he needs to let the management know because we have a contract with him, so for now he is still with us.”
