Super Falcons Coach Thomas Dennerby welcomed striker Desire Oparanozie to training on Wednesday as the team intensified its preparation for the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifier against Gambia.
Oparanozie as well as the China-based duo of Asisat Oshoala and Onome Ebi arrived the team’s base camp in Abuja on Wednesday to bring the number of players in camp to 25.
However, Asisat and Ebi were rested for the team’s second [evening] training session because of their long trip from the far East.
Nigeria, who are defending champions of the AWCON, will face Gambia in a double header qualifier next month; the first-leg comes up at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on June 6.
